Happy Friday – Professional Printing

B&V2The thing I love about being a photographer is the opportunity to capture a moment in time, a season, the importance of family and friends and making sure my clients can go back and remember that time in their lives for years to come. I love being able to capture a time they look back on and remember how they felt – when a groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day, when the anticipation of an engaged couple is beaming or the smile of a grandparent watching as their granddaughter gets married.

I love when I’m able to finally give clients their images to view for the first time. If you had to compare, I feel a little like Santa Clause. ha!

All the debating that was done about what to wear, how to wear your hair, worrying about the weather and making sure you look your absolute best is over. You can finally rest assured that your images turned out great!

Once you receive your images, what do you do with them?

1. File them on your computer until next year when you realize it’s time to have more taken

2. Let them sit on the disk, USB drive or however they were returned to you and collect dust

4. Upload to every social media outlet and tag yourself in all of them so everyone can see how great you look

5. Order professional prints from your photographer you entrusted to photograph you

Unfortunately, the last one on the list is the least popular. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a soapbox for me to fish for more orders on prints and albums because I’m speaking to myself, as someone who after two and half years still doesn’t have a wedding album (this is embarrassing to admit publicly). It’s a goal for 2015!

Remember how important you saw it to hire a professional photographer? It’s just as important to share your photos by printing them. Hang them in your house, give to family members and order albums for your parents and grandparents. It’s important because you saw it important enough to remember this season in your life, so why would you hold on to it for only yourself to enjoy.

Just a thought! Hope this helps:)
